‘Treat A Troop’ is an initiative launched by London Wasps which aims to provide free tickets to members of the Armed Services for the St George’s Day Game on 24th April.
Supporters are encouraged to purchase extra tickets for servicemen and women, along with their families, to enjoy the big day at Twickenham.
Wasps players, including British and Irish Lion Phil Vickery, club captain Tom Rees, Danny Cipriani, Joe Simpson, Dan Ward-Smith and Dominic Waldouck are dipping into their own pockets to ‘Treat A Troop’.
Prince Harry, who is Vice Patron of the Rugby Football Union, said: "This is a fantastic gesture by the players. I know from personal experience that all members of the Armed Services are very appreciative of anything like this which recognises and rewards their hard work and dedication."
Supporters can ‘Treat A Troop’ by simply purchasing additional seats in the stands when buying their own tickets for this fixture through Ticketmaster, the Wasps website or by calling the London Wasps ticket office on 0844 225 2990.
When purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster, simply scroll down to the bottom of the “SHIPPING” page after selecting your own seats for the match.
If you have already purchased tickets for the St George’s Day Game, don’t worry, you can still ‘Treat A Troop’ through Ticketmaster here, the Wasps website or by calling 0844 225 2990.
Businesses also have the opportunity to purchase multiple Treat a Troop tickets for servicemen or women and their families.
A Corporate Recognition Package is available to businesses who donate £1,000 and over, which will provide at least 50 Treat a Troop tickets for military personnel and their families. Participating companies will receive:
